Mount Megoun - Happy Valley - Ait Bouguemaz: 4 Days
Jebel Iguil Megoun is one of the distinguished mountains in the High Atlas. Its summit, with a height of 4072, is considered the fourth peak among the peaks of Morocco.
Itinerary of four days we will enjoy every step of the journey.
4 days in which we will restore ourselves after each stage, during which we will live the experience of climbing the mountain in all its details.
The beauty of the Mgoun Mountain trail is the overnight stay in the tents, which will be as follows: two nights in the tents at the foot of Mgoun Mountain and one nights in a tourist shelter in the beautiful village of “Aarous”

Thursday 24 August 2023
Departure from Tangiers and pass through the cities of Larache, Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakesh, as shown above:
- 6:00 AM – Departure from Tetouan (in front of the road station)
- 7:00 AM – Departure from Tangiers (in front of the Syrian Mosque)
- 8:30 AM – Departure from Larache
- 11:30 AM – Departure from Rabat (in front of the Marjane Hay Ryad)
- 12:30 – Departure from Casablanca ( Casa voyageurs)
- 15:30 – Departure from Beni Malal
- Pause lunch at the rest stop
- Have dinner
- Arriving at the village of Arous
- Receipt of rooms
- Sleep in preparation for tomorrow’s challenge

What Should You Bring?
Atlas Trekking requires the same preparation as any other mountain hike; it may be warm and sunny during the day, but weather in the mountains can quickly change from sunshine to snow and cold winds (autumn through late spring)
- Backpack and daypack
- Socks and quality boots for hiking
- Shoes/Slippers that are cozy for a refuge or Guest house
- Pants for trekking
- Warm jumper or jacket
- Waterproof/windproof jacket that is lightweight
- Goggles and a hat (winter)
- Sleeping bag
- Walking stick
- Gloves made of lightweight thermal or fleece material
- a headlamp or torch
- a camelback or water bottle
- Personal effects (e.g. towel, sunscreen, wipes, toilet tissues, antibacterial handwash)
- a small trash bag
