Departure time

This trip is for 3 days from Tangiers and back to Tangiers, and we will pass to the following cities :

  • 4:00 PM – Departure from Tetouan (in front of the road station)
  • 5:00 PM – Departure from Tangiers (in front of the Syrian Mosque)
  • 6:00 PM – Departure from Larache
  • 9:00 PM – Departure from Fes

Day 1: Friday 19 May 2023 - Tanger - Imouzzar Marmoucha

Departure from Tangiers and pass through the cities of Larache, Fes , as shown above

Day 2: Saturday 20 May 2023 - Imouzzar Marmoucha - Teserwen - peak Moussa Oussalah - Teserwen

  • The start of the trek towards Mount Moussa Oussalah

Day 3: Sunday 21 May 2023 - Teserwen - cave Bousslama - Tangiers

  • Breakfast
  • Go to Al-Buhayati courtyard in Bab Buider
  • A tour around Bousalamah Cave
  • Access to the cave and meet the guides
  • Wearing equipment for seeking forgiveness (suits, lamps, helmets…)
  • Provide simplified explanations about the Bousalama Cave and the path that we will take by specialists
  • The experience of seeking forgiveness and entering the cave of Bousslama
  • Follow the directions of the guide inside the cave to descend into its depth and experience the temptation to seek forgiveness
  • Documenting the moment by taking pictures of the wonderful scenery, stalagmites, stalagmites and watercourses with huge geological formations
  • Exit the cave
  • Lunch Time
  • Return to Tangier, via Casablanca, Rabat, Larache

What should you bring?

Atlas Trekking requires the same preparation as any other mountain hike; it may be warm and sunny during the day, but weather in the mountains can quickly change from sunshine to snow and cold winds (autumn through late spring)

  • Backpack and daypack
  • Socks and quality boots for hiking
  • Shoes/Slippers that are cozy for a refuge or Guest house
  • Pants for trekking
  • Warm jumper or jacket
  • Waterproof/windproof jacket that is lightweight
  • Goggles and a hat (winter)
  • Sleeping bag

  • Gloves made of lightweight thermal or fleece material

  • Personal effects (e.g. towel, sunscreen, wipes, toilet tissues, antibacterial handwash)

  • Small First Aid Kit including Vetamin C, plasters, Paracetamol
  • Snacks: dry fruits: dates, raisins, almonds, chocolate apple, banana..
  • Additional clothes to change at the end of the trip
